Aceites García de la Cruz, Grand Prestige Gold Award Terrolivo contest (Jerusalem)
The first harvest oil from the Castilian-La Mancha mill García de la Cruz, located in the municipality of Toledo, Madridejos, has won the prize “Grand Prestige Gold”, one of the highest awards in the contest Terraolivo, Jerusalem.
Terraolivo is the most important competition in the world in the Eastern Mediterranean and Asia, due to the large number of oils that are presented to it, coming from all corners of the world.
The last edition of this contest has been presented 632 samples from 20 countries and 80 producing regions, which have added more than 65 varieties
An international jury made up of the best olive oil tasting specialists in the world, meet every year in this meeting, which is why Terraolivo has become a must for all the great olive oils in the world.
This award is in addition to the many already received by Aceites García de la Cruz throughout 2017, as it has recently also won a gold medal at NYOOC, in New York, three Monde Selection awards, and two special mentions, one In the Olive Festival of Mora and another in the Health and Delight awards.
The García de la Cruz family has been dedicated since the 19th century to the production and manufacture of extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality. There are already five generations of oilers who accumulate 145 years of experience in the olive sector. This makes it one of the most traditional mills in the country. Its oils are present in 5 continents, reaching more than 40 countries. García de la Cruz has the most important international certifications: IFS, BRC, ISO 14001, ecological products in the European Union 834/2007, NOP-USA, JAS-Japan, Ecological Chinese, HALAL, KOSHER, D.O.P.
