Mexico: Irapuato Expo Agroalimentaria knows no limits
The 20th Expo Agroalimentaria from Irapuato changes dates and exhibition area and demonstrations of agricultural equipment too. Mexican fair is held from 24 to 27 November and moved its facilities to the 6.5 kilometer road Irapuato-Abasolo, in the Rancho “La Florida”.
The self-proclaimed by its organizers from the Agricultural Development Board (PDA) as “the largest agribusiness event Mexico”, has moved its traditional venue, which goes from now on to other activities by their owners. After 19 years of experience, Expo Agroalimentaria from Irapuato, in Guanajuato, 60 hectares it opens in a new direction: the 6.5 kilometer Irapuato-Abasolo road.
PDA director, Gustavo Garcia Balderas, said that the change of venue represents an investment of about 30 million of mexican pesos, the organization intends to initially fund their own financial resources. The PDA has hired land for five years to celebrate the event with five other option.
The new greenhouse facilities with the latest technology are already installed. Their structures were manufactured in Spain. At 60 hectares, an exhibition space of over 1,200 indoor and outdoor stand for agricultural machinery is located. Beside plots with outdoor cultivation, 10 hectares for agricultural machinery demonstrations are available.
Expo Agroalimentaria is one of the largest international agricultural fairs in Latin America, according to experts. In the last edition, involving a thousand exhibitors from 65 countries and visited more than 90,000 visitors. The economic impact in the area amounts to about 15 million US$.
