On the occasion of the 36th edition of Macfrut, from May 8 to 10, 2019, the International Congress dedicated to the crown jewelery of fruit and vegetable products in Italy will take place: the table grape, with a focus on the Innovation of the variety and in marketing.
With an annual production of approximately one million tons over an area of 47,000 hectares, Italy is the leading European producer of table grapes, followed by Greece and Spain. The “Meeting of the table grape” becomes a reason for the edition of Macfrut on Friday, May 10, 2019 in Rimini Fiera and its discussion focuses on the innovation of the variety of fruits, starting with the Italian development programs , going through the new international varieties in production in Italy, until defining the new varieties that will reshape the markets.

The event will be divided into two sessions: in the first part, some of the leading Italian exponents of the sector will take part in the innovation of the fruit variety, contributing their concrete experience and their point of view on the future evolution; On the other hand, the second half will be a round table discussion in which European and international speakers from countries that are leaders in the production and importation of table grapes will participate. The debate will be favored by the screening of video interviews of the main Italian producers who will contribute ideas for discussion and comparison.
