The founder of Idai Nature, recognized as ‘Best National Entrepreneur 2017’
Idai Nature founder Carlos Ledó has received the ASTER award that annually awards ESIC BUSINESS & MARKETING SCHOOL in the category of Best National Entrepreneur 2017.
Carlos Ledó, founded Idai Nature in 2009 as a family business and currently generates more than 300 indirect jobs. It is present in 31 countries, has established production subsidiaries in Turkey, Algeria, Mexico and USA and last year the total of the group of companies invoiced 17 million euros
Its value proposition is clear: to treat plants with plants. According to Carlos Ledó explains, from the beginning it was clear, “the best way to achieve this is to rescue the techniques and practices of former farmers and improve them with the latest technology”.
Idai Nature manufactures natural solutions for the cultivation of fruits and vegetables without chemical residues through the mixture of vegetal extracts and minerals
“Our technology allows farmers to offer supermarkets at the same cost to buy fruits and vegetables free from chemical waste”, says Ledó. This form of work allowed him to carry out in the middle of a crisis a company that does not stop growing and that has received national and international awards for its innovative character.
During his grateful speech, Carlos Ledó has dedicated this award to his clients, “farmers and consumers who know that agriculture without chemical residues is the present and the future of the sector”.
Awarded annually by ESIC since 1982, the ASTER Awards are a benchmark for recognition of the merits of individuals and entities in their professional activity. In their 35th edition they have been chaired by the Secretary of State for Education, Marcial Marín Hellín.
