World Olive Oil Exhibition 2017, endorsed as an international fair
The World Olive Oil Exhibition (WOOE), International Meeting of Olive Oil to be held on 29th and 30th March in Ifema (Madrid) has just been recognized as an international fair by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. This official endorsement recognizes the merits of the WOOE, an event totally oriented to the international business that for six years is celebrated in Madrid and that faces the final straight of its most ambitious edition.
This recognition as an international fair supposes a push to continue working, during the two days that this event lasts, to concentrate in a single exhibition space to the main importers of oil from all over the world.
The WOOE is a unique opportunity for the importing sector to know the enormous diversity and quality of oils produced mainly in Spain, but also in other countries such as Italy, Tunisia or Greece
The last edition of the WOOE closed with a 30% growth over last year and the satisfaction of having served as a commercial impulse to the 120 olive mills, cooperatives and olive oil companies involved.
WOOE 2016 was attended by professionals from 53 countries, who had the opportunity to taste more than 500 references of olive oil from different regions of Spain but also from Tunisia, Uruguay, Greece, Australia or South Africa
The WOOE wants to become the worldwide reference of a monographic room dedicated exclusively to olive oil in all its facets. From modest olive pomace oil to extra virgin olive oil dedicated to gourmet spaces. It has also incorporated a space for vinegars since the V Edition and intends to do the same with the table olives.
Its parallel activities will focus primarily on aspects of marketing. The commitment to quality and creativity in packaging and labeling will also play a key role in the next edition of the event.
