Phil Hogan and Isabel García Tejerina, at the opening of the Third International Forum Porcino
European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Phil Hogan, and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, open the Third International Forum Porcino, organized by the Interprofessional Organization Porcine Whitecloak (INTERPORC), which will be held on October 14th, at the Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid under the slogan “the strength of a leader”.
Both personalities will be accompanied by a cast of speakers of great international importance. Among them are two high-level representatives of the European Commission: Michael Scannell and Maria de los Angeles Benitez; Brazilian former Minister Francisco Sérgio Turra; a vice president of the Federation of Meat Export USA, Thad Lively; and Arnaud Petit, director of Commerce COPA-COGECA.
The presentations will focus on trade agreements with the United States (TTIP), Canada (CETA), Japan and MERCOSUR, of great importance for the pig sector. It will also address issues such as sanitary barriers to export or trading strategies in international trade
