France, Mecca of Iberian Ham and tennis
Iberian Hams of Spain will be present from 15 to 21 May at the Open de Nice Cote D’Azur, a tennis tournament on clay. More than 30,000 attendees who come every year can enjoy this flagship product reaching the French Riviera next to the image of Rafa Nadal. The action is part of the European tour that takes the Interprofessional Iberian Pig (ASICI) to publicize Spain’s Iberian Hams outside our borders.
The Open Nice Cote D’Azur is the second stop on the European tour promoting Iberian Hams, with the image of Rafa Nadal, making the Interprofessional Iberian Pig (ASICI) together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment. This tournament whose first edition was held in 2010 is one of 5 ATP tournaments played in France.
7 days of tastings
To enable more than 30,000 attendees who come throughout the competition enjoy the uniqueness of the Iberian Spain Hams, a tent will be installed in the village of tournament where a cutter ham offer this product ready to be tasted. Also, a flight attendant will distribute information to learn more about our gastronomic jewel par excellence.
France, the leading importer of Iberian Hams from Spain
The neighboring country is an established consumer of the Iberian Hams ranking first when importing outside our borders. Only in 2015, exports grew more than 20%. In the last five years, turnover has increased by almost 100%.

Rafa Nadal is the image that is leading this European tour as the Mallorcan tennis player always been in favor of the promotion of Spanish products wherever he goes:
