Number 481 corresponds share the quota of meat that South American countries to export to the EU market under more optimal conditions (lower tariffs, etc.). According to the president of INAC, Federico Stanham, to the future arrival of meat from Argentina and Brazilian beef to the US market, Uruguayan producers will have to continue strengthening those factors that differentiate them off the meat from these countries.
Stanham is hopeful that the second half of the year will evolve positively for Uruguayan beef keeping demand from China and increasing demand for meat from US to a gradual stop in the supply of Australian beef in the US market.
