UNICA Group specialties in tomato and pepper, to view of Italian farmers

A group of 30 Italian farmers visited the facilities of the fruit and vegetable marketing Ferva S.A.T. UNICA Group. Are representatives of seed companies Hazera and Vilmorin, and producers dedicated to the cultivation of cherry tomato branch, peppers and eggplant, both in conventional agriculture and organic production.

The group toured the facilities of Ferva visiting both the store manipulated, as the laboratory S.A.T. for the complete operation of a fruit and vegetable trader. During the visit, they showed great interest in the mini sweet peppers of different colors presented in the snack for children formats, as well as the variety of formats tubs used in the packaging of cocktail tomatoes, cherry branch and the variety of cherry and pear cherry round in different varieties and colors.

Another issue that drew considerable attention Italian representatives of all was the process of classification of items of product from the field and how the payment is made to the associated farmers.

It also asked how the control product is made from departure to arrival at the destination by traceability systems, checking the control and reliability of the Almeria fruit and vegetable production.
