The Association of Women of La Union agricultural professional organization, the Union of Rural Women, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture in its V Segovia National Conference of Women, entitled “Participation of Women in Rural Development” which will develop the next days 26 and 27 September in the Hall of “San Jose” Cultural Center of the capital.
The meeting which was attended by a hundred women of Castilla and León, Madrid, Extremadura, Murcia, Valencia, Castilla la Mancha and Catalonia, aims to promote open to the entire population space for knowledge, learning and debate, about the role of rural women, as an essential pillar for rural development, as well as a broadcast event programs and development measures aimed at rural women.
Also as a transversal objective, is to cooperate in spreading the female population of rural areas in particular and society in general, of different policies to promote rural women and their involvement in economic activity, as necessary element for development and sustainable countryside, in a collaborative environment with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Magrama).
The program, which will start at 10:30 am, will feature speeches and presentations by Rosa Maria Arranz, president of Ismur framework setting out the vision of women in rural areas of Segovia, and Mª del Mar Martín, manager of Codinse, dealing with the National Rural Network and Local Action Groups. Then Eva Letosa be entrepreneurial (Goat Cheese), Nelida Arranz (Segovia-South), Lourdes Contreras (Beef Cattle), Pilar Merino (Farmer and Rancher) and Beatriz Gonzalez (Ounces of Taste); who will debate 13.00 a roundtable about his experience as entrepreneurs and invigorate business and employment.
Open Space methodology with women
From 17:00, the participants will work on an Open Space methodology S.Coop Enproceso hand in order to get the best ideas on women and participation in rural areas as an indispensable element for rural development through different topics. The day will end on Sunday September 27 with an educational visit to the National Glass Foundation and Royal Glass Factory of La Granja and preparing the conclusions of the meeting.
