At the same time, they contribute to promote the incorporation and labor insertion of women in the territory.
AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE TO INNOVATION FOR RURAL WOMEN
The regulatory bases establish a maximum of ten prizes, divided into four categories. Thus, the award of Excellence for innovation in agricultural activity recognizes those projects whose development uses agricultural, livestock or forestry technologies that result in the advancement of a sustainable and efficient sector in obtaining quality products, respond to the demand of consumers and can integrate marketing and promotion strategies.
The winners will receive a badge of excellence and an accrediting diploma, which they can use in their promotional or publicity actions. In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will count on the collaboration of people awarded in the actions of promotion of rural women’s projects that it develops.
A second category rewards those projects of Excellence to innovation that diversify the economic activity of the rural environment, linked to complementary activities, to agri-food production, to local resources and to traditional aspects of agricultural and agri-food activity, which favor new economic areas or generate employment in rural areas. Likewise, the award for Excellence in Communication is aimed at awarding communication works that recognize the work and the role of women in the activities described in the previous modalities.
Lastly, the Extraordinary Prize for innovation for rural women values those initiatives in which outstanding or continuous circumstances are present in the dissemination and promotion of projects or actions related to the different categories of prizes. Applications for prizes may be presented by natural or legal persons and media that meet the requirements established in the regulatory bases for each category.
