Spain: Huge gap between the price of zucchini field and that paid by consumers

Zucchini producers Madrid have accused intermediaries “speculative practices” which in his opinion are moving further the price they receive for each kilo of product price paid by end consumers. UPA calls this practice of distributing “scam” that are “victims” themselves and consumers.
Throughout this year the price fall Zucchini source has been steady but, however, has not been matched by an equal fall in the price on arrival. In fact, during some weeks of the first quarter, the amount charged by the locals producers fell sharply, while that paid by consumers rose.
