San Sebastian Gastronomika 2016

From 2nd to 5th October, will take place at the Kursaal Palace San Sebastian, the eighteenth edition of San Sebastian Gastronomika – Euskadi Basque Country, the last great act of the European Capital of Culture that holds the Basque city this year. For the first time, this Congress will have as guests with six countries on five continents (Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Japan, Turkey and Hungary), representing the different culinary cultures of the world.
Some of the best chefs of these seven countries will take the stage of the Kursaal to explain their culture, their roots and their culinary future, grouped by origin cartel and kitchen. A demonstration of the different culinary cultures of the world that will complete before and after, the big names in the culinary scene homeland, always with the formula that makes it unique to this conference: tasting live, and by the audience in the auditorium, of the dishes served on scene. Angel León, Mario Sandoval, Joan Roca, Paco Morales, Ramon Freixa, Carme Ruscalleda, Diego Guerrero, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch, Marcos Morán, Sergio and Javier Torres, or Paco Perez, have already confirmed their presence.
This edition is aimed to surpass the record of public, media and congressmen last year, with a full and diverse program of presentations where culinary trends more solidity and emerging trends are represented. The result, the wider cartel with which it has never had the Congress.
In San Sebastian Gastronomika – Euskadi Basque Country the cooking not only will be present, and he other disciplines of the hospitality industry will also have a place in the Congress. Off Gastronomika will bring together the best professionals of the wine and catering, through lectures, tastings, workshops and engaging activities such as the National Grill Competition or Gastronomika for Teenagers.
