Fruitponic is a system, developed together with the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research -IVIA-, which achieves, through the advantages of hydroponics, a reduction in irrigation needs of 30% in fruit trees – such as persimmon, nectarine and citrus -, in addition to an increase in the average fruit weight of 5%. This translates into an increase in the economic value of the fruit of between 10% and 30%.
Fruitponic is especially suitable for large producers of fruit trees that face problems of lack of water and poor land
It is a system that incorporates a culture bags with a special substrate towards which the roots of the fruit trees are directed. This allows them to improve their development under conditions of water scarcity or low soil fertility.
For its part, the Golden Grow Hydroponics system is directed to the cultivation of vegetables. It uses coconut fiber of own manufacture to allow the increase of the production of the cultures and provides a greater homogeneity in the same. Currently Projar distributes this product in several countries in Latin America, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Canada and Tunisia.
In addition to these innovations, the company has also brought to Fruit Attraction its solutions for the cultivation of berries.
Projar specializes in hydroponic solutions for cranberry and raspberry, allowing its latest advances to be introduced in Morocco and Mexico in a remarkable way
In this sense, experiences with its customers have achieved increases in production with respect to soil, up to 60% in the first year, 40% in the second and 35% in the third in the case of blueberry. What is allowing the company to grow above its expectations.
In the Iberian market Projar group has facilities in Valencia, Madrid, Malaga and Lisbon. And it has logistics centers in Barcelona and Pontevedra. At the international level, it is incorporated as a company in Sri Lanka, India and Brazil. Its workforce amounts to 230 employees and in 2015 its turnover exceeds 19 million euros.
