Mitas presents its tires for agriculture, motorcycles and bicycles at Tire Cologne 2018
Mitas, part of the Trelleborg Group, will present its latest tires for agriculture, multiservice, motorcycles and bicycles at the Tire Cologne fair in Germany (May 29 – June 2, 2018).
The product line Mitas AGRITERRA represents the advanced radial agricultural tires with a large load capacity, designed to equip agricultural vehicles on non-drive axles. At Tire Cologne, Mitas will exhibit the 680 / 60R30.5 IMP AGRITER 03 tire. “These high load capacity tires are designed for heavier agricultural applications, such as tanks and grain trailers.
They are very soft in the grasslands, provide low noise, rolling resistance and fuel consumption, and have excellent self-cleaning properties, “said Pavel Kott, Product Director of the Mitas agricultural tire range. The 680 / 60R30.5 IMP 176D AGRITER 03 can transport a load of 7100Kg at a maximum speed of 65Km / h with a nominal inflation pressure of 4 bars.
The Mitas 540 / 80R38 IND HCM tire represents the Multiservice HCM (High Capacity Municipal) tire line. These multiservice tires are designed to work in a wide variety of machinery, mainly in municipal services, can be mounted on agricultural and industrial tractors, handlers, loaders, etc., and are suitable for agricultural, municipal, construction, forestry and other applications. The construction of the HCM tire with steel band ensures high puncture resistance and roadway stability, while the unique cascade design of the stud edges ensures excellent self-cleaning properties, better traction in all conditions and low levels of noise. The maximum load of the exposed tire 540 / 80R38 IND HCM 172A8 (167D) is between 7880Kg at 10Km / h and 5450Kg at 65Km / h inflated at 3.2 bar.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the latest generation of Mitas SPORT FORCE + radial tires in sizes 120 / 70ZR17 and 190 / 55ZR17 on display. This product line is designed for sports motorcycles and road bikes. SPORT FORCE + offers superior performance over the life of the tire, thanks to the use of Strong Carcass Technology (SCT), and offers exceptional grip on different road surfaces, temperatures and conditions compatible with OGT 3D technology -Optimum Groove.
“SPORT FORCE + riders will appreciate easy and progressive cornering with maximum control and high-speed stability throughout the tire’s lifetime. These characteristics were achieved using a combination of two different technologies, SCT and finite element analysis (FEA), to define the tire’s footprint, “said Ksenija Bitenc, Director of the tire and motorcycle camera products area.
Jorge “Viki” Gómez, Spanish BMX rider and triple world champion in BMX Flatland, will demonstrate his excellent driving skills at the Mitas stand. Your BMX bike will be equipped with the 44-406 R03 Dom tires developed by Mitas especially for the BMX Flatland tests. The almost smooth tread with a special compound ensures excellent grip during extreme stunts and leans over concrete or wood surfaces.
“Mitas, one of the leading European tire producers, will only present a small representative sample of its full range of products at Tire Cologne. We are aware that Europe, and especially Germany, is one of the most demanding markets in the world and we are proud to present here our most advanced technologies, which significantly help the users of all our tires and make their lives easier “, concluded Emil Houska, Marketing Director of Mitas.
