Massey Ferguson: The Beauvais plant wins award for Year 2016 Factory France
The production plant AGCO Massey Ferguson in Beauvais, France, was presented with the prestigious French factories Factory of the Year Award 2016. The facility situated in Picardie Beauvais beat 10 other facilities very different kind of manufacturing in France win this prestigious title.
The Factory of the Year Award is organized by “L’Usine nouvelle”, the magazine industry benchmark in France. To select the total industries winner Factory of the Year award, the jury was set at a facility that demonstrated an initiative of profound transformation and, would show significant improvements in earnings including improvements in productivity, quality, competitiveness and market share . Directed by matrix Massey Ferguson, AGCO, whose base of operations is located in Duluth in the United States, AGCO Beauvais factory designs and produces tractors Massey Ferguson from 75 to 400 hp. It is the largest manufacturer and exporter of agricultural machinery France. Around 14,500 tractors leaving the assembly line each year, 85% of them are charged to markets around the world. In the last 12 months, four new ranges of MF tractors were manufactured in the plant and have been released for global markets
The award recognizes Year Factory successful AGCO Beauvais factory and an extensive internal reorganization sponsored project called MF Fast Forward. The plant has developed significant productivity gains through the implementation of lean production processes, Best Practices 5S and continuous improvement strategy of Hoshin Kanri.
In addition, the jury highlighted the Transformation Initiative Quality factory and the clear commitment of the employees of Beauvais in the transformation processes. The latest internal figures of the factory show a clear increase in levels of production quality, while rates of customer satisfaction surveys also reveal increases in the perception of quality by the customer. For example, it has been reduced by more than 40% in the last two years nonconformities in the production process, which is already an excellent base. Surveys of customer satisfaction Massey Ferguson also revealed that regarding the quality of tractor production at points of delivery, the ratio of “positive” has moved up to 94% of users in less than 5 years.
