Marca EspaƱa has three years abroad improves

In its third anniversary, Marca EspaƱa presented at Casa AmƩrica results as follow hard work to improve the image of Spain in the face of international markets and if in these three years has improved its position has been thanks they admitted which are our weaknesses and have improved confidence abroad.

The High Commissioner for the Marca EspaƱa, Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, and representatives of various immersed in the work of the country brand institutions participated in the meeting attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, JosĆ© Manuel GarcĆ­a-Margallo, who was responsible for closing the day with “A view from Globalization”.

According to the study Mesias, Spain is climbing positions standing at number 17 ranking. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation made clear that although improving Spain’s image abroad is a major first, “is for us to make an effort both inside and outside.”

The minister highlighted the positive data formulated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that Spain is the country that has grown 3.5% in 2015, up from 2.5% on average compared to other countries; and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) that focuses on Spain by export growth in its business sector.

The number of Spaniards who know the initiative to promote the country’s image has experienced spectacular growth in three years. From July 2012 to April 2015 it has gone from being known for 57.6% of respondents to 70.5%, while the percentage of Spaniards who have a high opinion of it soars to 7.8 19.1% just in the last year, according to the latest barometer of the Elcano Royal Institute.

Spain is an inclusive brand and integrating project, intended to be permanent in the long run. Brand Spain Goal 2020 is to consolidate an image of Spain as an economic and political power among the first countries in the world; a vision of traditional and modern country at the same time; solid and united; diverse; flexible and open to change. It is to highlight the many strengths of Spain in the areas of culture, heritage, language, science, technology, tourism, fashion, gastronomy, solidarity, etc.

To do this, Marca EspaƱa has the invaluable help of the Crown of all the Administrations, our embassies, consulates and sector offices abroad, business, the media, of our citizens abroad, of civil society and all those, including foreigners, who share the values that inspire our project.
