Juan de Dios Gálvez, new president of ANEO
The National Association of Pomace Olive Oil Companies, ANEO, premiered new presidency in the person of Juan de Dios Gálvez Daza who, previously, held the vice presidency for Granada in the Outgoing Board of Directors.
The new president of ANEO happens to José Luis Maestro Sánchez-Cano who, for professional reasons, has decided to take a step to the side. During his nearly five years in office, José Luis Maestro, together with his Board of Directors, has given an important boost to ANEO, focusing on promoting the professionalism and visibility of the sector.
Juan de Dios Gálvez, began his professional adventure in 1989, and from that date until today, he has created Grupo Sierra Sur, a leading business conglomerate in the Andalusian agri-food sector.
The new president of ANEO has been the first entrepreneur of the sector to incorporate the cogeneration in the drying of the wet fatty pomace
The Sierra Sur Group, which has a turnover of 105 million euros and employs more than 200 families in the provinces of Jaen and Granada, brings together the entire production process of the olive: oil mill, pomace oil extractor and pomace olive oil refinery . In addition, it has diversified its business activities with a wine cellar and a factory for recycling and manufacturing PET sheets.
