Fruit Attraction foresees a 16% growth in its 10th anniversary, surpassing the 1,600 companies
The International Fair of the Fruit and Vegetable Sector, Fruit Attraction, organized by IFEMA and FEPEX, will be held in its 10th edition for the first time from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 October 2018 at the Feria de Madrid. According to the estimates made after the first meeting of election of spaces by the Organizing and Advisory Committee, the surface has grown 10% in relation to the same period of the last call, exceeding 45,000 square meters, and with a forecast of total increase of the 16%
The Organizing and Advisory Committee also confirmed a greater international participation, with EU countries such as Holland, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Greece, and highlighting the strong growth of France, as well as non-EU countries such as Chile, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina or South Africa, creating for the first time a complete area of the southern hemisphere that will be located in pavilion 10.
In this edition, different areas will be reinforced, such as Organic Hub, dedicated to organic horticultural products companies located in Hall 6; the Smart Agro space, in pavilion 7, focused on the application of new technologies and connectivity with the aim of increasing the productivity of horticultural farms, and the Nuts Hub area, aimed at nuts. The traditional spaces Pasarela Innova and Foro Innova will be unified in this edition in one place: The Innovation Hub, as an area dedicated to innovation and business innovations in the sector. In addition, this year also joins Fruit Attraction the flower and plant sector, with Flower & Garden Attraction.
As for the invited importing countries, it will be Canada and Saudi Arabia, to favor the commercial relations between the European Union and these two markets, surrounded by a complete program of round tables (World Fresh Forum), guided visits and B2B sessions. Along with this initiative, which started in the last call, Fruit Attraction will again make a significant investment in the International Guests Program, which will attract 1,000 retail heads, importers and invited wholesalers from around the world to Madrid.
