Francesc Llauradó, new president of AEPLA
The Business Manager of Nufarm Southern Europe, has been named president of the Business Association for the Protection of Plants, replacing Miguel Suarez Cervieri hitherto Country Manager for Crop Protection division of BASF Spanish, which happens to occupy functions within the same company in Europe.
Llauradó was Vice of AEPLA till now. He is graduated from the University of Strasbourg with a PhD in soil science and then studied the art (MBA) in marketing of agricultural and food products in 1987 in England. He has worked in South America, France, Switzerland and Italy in the areas of seeds and plant protection.
The new president takes office with the intention of giving continuity to the actions undertaken by his predecessor. That is, since AEPLA promote a stable regulatory environment and based on scientific criteria, which favors investment and research and thus allows to provide effective solutions for farmers to protect their crops from pests and diseases that threaten them, while encouraging the with their profitability.
It is also objective of the Association show society the important role that plant protection products, plant medicines play to ensure an adequate supply of safe, healthy and affordable food for all consumers.
