Costa Rica: Daymsa makes a banana field demonstration
Daymsa did in Costa Rica a series of picnics in bananas, to show studies with the company Monreri.
The major banana producers in Costa Rica visited the experimental farm of Monreri in Guapiles (Costa Rica), where trials Daymsa solutions to combat black sigatoka visited.
Present were the largest producers of bananas from Costa Rica (transnational and independent producers) plus Daymsa subsidiaries in Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.
Black Sigatoka, caused by the fungus Mycosphaerellafijiensis, is foliar disease is the main limiting factor in the production of Musa (banana and plantain) worldwide. The disease affects the photosynthetic plant leaf area and consequently fruit bunches and have less weight compared to healthy plants.
This event confirms Daymsacomo leader in the commercialization of bio-stimulants and biocontrol products for bananas, capital of culture throughout the Munce and specifically in Central America.
Following the field visit, the staff Daymsapresentó the leading products for bananas and the day ended with a meal, to continue discussing agricultural issues banana.
