Bejo, with the II edition of the International Onion Meeting

Bejo is one of the main sponsors of the second edition of the International Onion Meeting (IOM), the international meeting of the onion sector, which will be held on November 15th and 16th at the Albacete Conference Center in order to analyze deeply the sector and value the importance of this crop in all its aspects (productive, nutritious, marketing and phytosanitary).

This important seed company will also be present with a Stand from which its specialists will attend the attendees and showcase their commercial varieties. In addition, you will have your production partner to complete the event

The IOM will present a series of international experts who will address, in various conferences, the situation of the markets, the improvement in varieties of recent years, phytosanitary problems of the crop, the demands of current customers, their logistics, and the consumption perspectives in supermarkets and distribution chains. Among these conferences, the geneticist Koen Van der Voort will present his experience in the production of onion seed and will share his future perspectives (Wednesday 15th, at 12:00h.)

Onion is one of the main crops of Bejo, so do not want to miss this event organized by the Association of Producers of Castilla la Mancha, the main producing region of Spain and one of the most important in Europe, with almost 11,000 hectares cultivated this year, a production that last year exceeded 777 million euros.
