Alberto Lopez: “FIMA is the international center of reference and the door from Latin America to the European market”

Everything is ready inside FIMA 2016. The Acting Minister of Agriculture, Isabel García Tejerina, and the president of the Aragonese Government, Javier Lambán officially open the frenetic activity of the 39th edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery (FIMA), one of the three largest exhibition events in Europe. Sales Director and Marketing of Feria de Zaragoza anticipated content, fattened with positive expectations for the market of tractors, harvesters and tools for the sector in Spain. FIMA again act as a lever.
e-Comercio Agrario: The stability has been established in the market of agricultural machinery. What are the trends in innovation brands exhibiting at FIMA industry to address this situation is here to stay?
AL: The innovation in this and in any other sector is the key to face the future with guarantees and possibilities. In the agricultural world, revolution and technological development, perhaps, has taken a little longer to appear, but now, the famous R & D + i has come very strongly and it has to stay. Proofing of this is our contest to promote technical innovations in FIMA and, year after year, rewards the most innovative equipment and tools and pointers to the prosperity of professionals and in order to serve for improving our sector.
Just months ago, Feria de Zaragoza held a salon on drones, Expodrónica, and there were aware of the many possibilities and proposals related to the agricultural segment, both in terms of security and safety to crops. In addition, in recent times we have been spectators of a 180 Grandos in agriculture as we understand it. The technology is part and very active, day-to-day professional. So much so that in the area of food and agriculture they have created a number of startups that did not exist a few years ago only. In this regard, include online training, the inclusion of sensors monitoring crops and genetic tests for food. It is, in short, a market that is constantly moving and in which new trends will be the pattern that will shape the future, as star and present.
ECA: At the gates of FIMA held, the structure undergoes changes and renovations responsible companies in Spain and in Europe. Do you think this movement is due to the vitality of the mechanization sector to adapt to new market conditions?
AL: The agricultural machinery sector in Spain is more alive than ever. The agricultural market is no stranger to change and can adapt to changing needs. We have great professionals who are in charge of important companies that make position ourselves among the first places in the world, so our work more effective and serve to meet all requirements posed by international market.
The economy changes and we do with it. At present, many large multinational companies are seeking greater market position and work on more ambitious projects. The aptly named globalization makes us work harder and try to do our very best to get reach the highest goals. The changes are important to achieve these objectives and therefore consider that the Spanish firms are well represented. We are, today, one of the great powers in the world and we will continue to do so. FIMA contributes to reaffirm these changes because it is a great showcase of the agricultural market and the sector is more dynamic and optimistic.
ECA: e-Comercio Agrario is a means linking bridges between food businesses in Europe and Latin America. What is eco FIMA for agricultural mechanization across the Atlantic and which have commercial presence Latin American companies?
AL: For us, the Latin American market is essential. We have a good link that is the language, to which a deep-rooted history and a common affection forged over many years adds. We are lands that are far in distance but very close on the deal and how. FIMA has always worked to unite ties with South America and to become an attraction for professionals Southern Cone focus.
Among our visitors and trade missions, it is common to have representation from countries like Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile … We love working with them because, like us, are people who live the agricultural sector with long-established. We are aware of our responsibility, since for Latinos, Spain and FIMA countries is their international center of reference and gateway to the European market.
From here, I encourage all professionals who visit us and continue to have the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery as its fair and the place of the connect to innovation and make contact with major brands.
ECA: FIMA is not only going to do business, but to analyze its technical conferences that is taking place in rural areas, which is thirsty for new wisdom in front of farms and new precision technologies to save costs. What are we to expect from their program of conferences and debates?
AL: FIMA, in its 39th edition, will become the largest forum of the international agricultural sector due, in addition to the potential exhibited by more than 1,200 companies that are present, for its program of technical seminars and debates. For this call we have designed a broad agenda of meetings, debates, conferences and workshops with the sole aim of promoting business contacts and enable points for the exchange of experiences and knowledge among professionals.
I do not want to highlight a few events, but I want to highlight the issue this year has chosen the National Congress of Rural Development, which has young farmers as a hub to develop their presentations. Among other issues the future possibilities and new times for people who joined agriculture will be discussed. Thus, it was discussed about the educational challenges of farmers; economic factors will also be one of the axes on the table and, finally, the social aspect and the relationships between rural and urban areas. An important aspect is the influence of communication technologies, whose implementation in society has improved social rapprochement between the countryside and cities.
In addition, it also highlights the tenth third National Meeting of Operators of Cereals, Agragex the General Assembly and various conference topics as varied as fertilization, recognition of weed seedlings or precision agriculture round out the program FIMA.
ECA. The balance of market competitiveness leans towards excellence What else praised the expert jury to award the first prize FIMA Agrarian Excellence?
AL: The Excellence Award FIMA born in order to recognize and encourage the good work of agricultural enterprises who want to contribute, through their participation, innovative and specific elements erupt and improve the sector. The award recognizes applied research and innovation, embodied in practical and demonstrable progress by agricultural enterprises in the Iberian Peninsula.
The objective of this initiative is to contribute to improve and find new business models applicable to the industry and market by introducing profitability, sustainability and environmental management, traceability, and models of good practice. To do this, our jury has recognized the originality, practicality and results in exploitation. In addition, questions have been considered as important as the feasibility, quality management and implementation of new processes that improve everyday life.
In this sense, the FIMA Excellence Award promotes the improvement and implementation of new business models applicable to the food industry. In its first edition, the award rests with the company Servicios Integrales Yago Aznar S.L.
