Agroexpo: Bayer could not fail to Extremadura farmer
Bayer is present again in the meeting with farmers in Extremadura Agroexpo, the event held in Don Benito-Badajoz from 27 to 30 January and has become one of the most representative of the agricultural sector in Spain. The company will present on this occasion its latest innovations in technology and plant to serve producers in the region solutions.
Bayer will use the fair to present at its stand updates made to the Bayer Agro Services platform. Among other novelties like the program paid for crops, exclusive services for farmers attached to the platform and others who already had been offering as personalized advice, loyalty programs or tools as the field notebook.
Currently, Bayer Agro Services has more than 400 farmers in Extremadura attached, representing about 115,000 hectares of crops. In 2015 the platform has consolidated the growth obtained in 2014 when the number of users doubled. In this sense, José Luis Bautista, Bayer sales representative in Extremadura, said the company’s satisfaction for having achieved “the increase in the interest of the farmer for the use of the platform,” adding that this has enabled them to “get to the needs of producers in the area. ” A mission particularly important for the organization in the region where the agricultural sector is an engine of economic activity, particularly in rural communities.
Solutions for serving the farmer
As for the specific solutions that Bayer will present at the event, highlighting the Movento® insecticides for fruit and tomato, and Envidor® against mites on fruit; Hussar® plus herbicides in cereals and olive Musketeer® in biological bactericide or fungicide Serenade® Max, registered in fruit and tomato, highlighted by its operation and no residues. With its services and solutions, Bayer makes a commitment to sustainable agriculture and collaborates with farmers in crop production under the most demanding international standards.
Finally, the presence at the event, the company aims to “strengthen ties with farmers in the region and that they feel listened to, cared for and supported,” as pointed Bayer’s sales representative in the region. Thus, “it is intended that the stand is a meeting point and a benchmark among farmers who come to the fair,” Bautista continued.
With more than 25,000 m2, the international fair Agroexpo of Don Benito, Badajoz, has become one of the most representative and important for the agricultural and livestock sector in Extremadura fairs. It is divided into three rooms, each with its own role and space: Tomatec, the Tomato Show and Applied Technology; OLIVAC, Iberian Lounge Olivar, Olive and Olive Oil, Hortofrutec, the Hall of Horticulture and fruit growing. It also has an interesting program of technical seminars.
