A turning point in the protection of fruit trees
Pulverizadores Fede poses a new future for agriculture with the revolutionary H3O project, equipment for protection of fruit crops. Supported by the European Union, this program has earned the highest honor awarded by the international jury of FIMA Agricultural: Outstanding Technical Innovation.
The atomizer Futur H3O of Valencian agricultural equipment company Pulverizadores Fede has been recognized as Outstanding New Technology, the distinctive maximum awarded by the international jury of FIMA 2016 Agricultural, event leader in agricultural machinery for fruit worldwide.
Pulverizadores Fede has developed this project within the framework of Horizon 2020 SME instrument, which has the support of the European Union, an organization that selected the H3O technology to meet the “eco-innovative production and food processing efficiently and” challenge . The investment of 1.3 million euros will allow the placing on the market of a new generation of atomizers that combine the most important technological innovations developed to date worldwide.
Crop protection is the process with the greatest impact in farming; undertreatment may very negatively affect the harvest and therefore the profitability of farmers. Therefore, in the H3O project, one of the main objectives of Pulverizadores Fede is to improve efficiency in the treatment and the proper application thereof. With new H3O sprays precision smart technology, farmers can achieve a reduction of up to 25% cost in plant protection products, and savings of up to 4 liters / hour of fuel. This will also result in benefits for both the environment and consumers, as food and feed safety will be improved in a way never before raised in a team to protect fruit crops.
H3O project is being developed in collaboration with the Unit of Agricultural Mechanization of the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), led by Professor Emilio Gil, research team leader in crop protection in orchards and vineyards internationally, and the IVIA (Valencian Institute for Agricultural research), reference center for research into citrus crops.
Therefore, the H3O technology is emerging as a milestone in achieving a productive agriculture profitable for farmers and sustainable with the environment and consumers.
Pulverizadores Fede will perform the world premiere of H3O as part of FIMA 2016, to the leading researchers and professionals in the agricultural sector at national and international levels.
