Kubota announces that it will not participate at FIMA 2022
On 29th March 2021, the DLG (German Agricultural Society), which organizes Agritechnica, a worldleading Agricultural Machinery trade fair (FIMA) in Hannover (Germany), announced that the 2021 edition of the trade fair will be postponed.
The DLG said: “Because of the continuing Corona pandemic as well as the progress of vaccination programs, both in Germany and abroad, the DLG, VDMA Agricultural Machinery Association and Agritechnica’s exhibitor advisory board have concluded that insufficient certainty for planning currently exists for the world-leading exhibition in November.
The new dates for Agritechnic are 27th February to 5th March 2022. With the four-month postponement of the trade fair, the DLG, as organizer, as well as the members of the VDMA Agricultural Machinery Association, believe that the participating companies have the necessary certainty required for planning.”.
Prior to the DLG’s announcement, Kubota already had doubts regarding its participation at FIMA 2022
in view of evolution of the pandemic, mobility restrictions and the vaccination rate in Spain. Kubota
always places the safety of customers and employees as top priority.
In this context, and in view of the DLG’s recent announcement, Kubota does not consider it feasible to
participate in two major European Machinery Shows on the same or similar dates. Therefore, Kubota will prioritize participation at the Agritechnica trade fair in 2022 and will not attend the 2022 edition of FIMA. “This announcement is specific to the 2022 edition of FIMA.
In view of Kubota’s long history in Spain, and our continuing investments in the Spanish market, we remain open to study participation at future editions of FIMA, by which time we hope to have moved beyond this challenging pandemic situation”, said German Martínez Sainz-Trápaga, President of Kubota España.
