Argentina: two years more to export milk powder to Brazil
An Argentina delegation of private sector actors and the Ministry of Agro-industry of this country, through the Secretariats Dairy and Markets closed on June 6 in the city of Brasilia an agreement to extend, for the following 24 months, milk powder exports to Brazil. This agreement, of paramount importance to the dairy industry, aims to promote in the world Argentine products with added value.
Among the members of this business delegation must mention Miguel Paulón, president of the Center for Dairy Industry (CIL), Pablo Villano, president of Association of Small and Medium Dairy Companies (APYMEL) and Javier Dufourquet, Agricultural Attache in Brazil. On the part of Brazil attended by representatives of the Livestock Commission Milk of CNA (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil), authorities of OCB (Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives), the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) and of the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA), among others.
At the request of the representatives of the private sector, will be the Ministries of Agro-industry of Argentina and Industry, Foreign Trade and Services of Brazil the responsibles for following and monitoring this compliance. Is estimated to be between 4,300 tons per month of exportable products for the 2016/17 and 4500 to 2018, supplied both by companies belonging to CIL as APYMEL, who highlighted the cooperation and support of the Ministry and their teams for the realization of such important initiative.
From the neighbor and strategic partner country was specified its intention to support this new stage in bilateral trade fluid that can generate confidence, transparency and predictability between actors of the chain. In this sense, the creation of a new framework for international policy by the Ministry of Agro-industry, from the strategic measures promoted in order to provide predictability to export operations (repeal of ROE stood -Register White Operations export-by DJVL -Affidavit Sales Lácteos-), eliminating discretion in terms of export policy and in order to insert again the country into the world’s markets, highlighting their healthy products, reliable and quality.
