Brazil: Valagro begins to build the production plant
Valagro, leader in the production and marketing of specialty bio-stimulants and nutrients, announced that it has begun construction of its new plant in Pirassununga, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The project, announced in 2014, with an investment of 10 million euros, the project includes the construction of a plant with two production lines for processing and packaging in water soluble solid fertilizers and bio-stimulants.
The plant will have an area of about 60,000 sqm and ensure production of about 8000 tons of product a year. “The construction of the production plant relies heavily Pirassununga our logistics supply chain to get closer to our customers in Brazil, and more broadly, will enable us to respond effectively to the different needs so,” said the director General Group, Giuseppe Natale. “Secondly, this provides us with the flexibility of production made at the local level. The transition to the operational phase of the project which will end in January 2017, with the opening of the planting has been achieved through the attainment of national and regional environmental licenses, which certify compliance with local environmental safety standards and sustainability, in line with the values of Valagro based on full respect to human health and the environment.
Due to the production plant in Pirassununga, Valagro be able to respond more effectively to the needs of the Brazilian market – where it is already active with its own branch since 1998 – with special attention to some of its major customers in this area, as Coopercitrus .
