John Deere innovates in its series of tractors 6R
John Deere extends its 6R series with the launch, starting in 2017, of two new flagship tractors, the 6230R and 6250R. The new models of six-cylinder tractors of high range, 230 and 250 hp (97/68 EC), have been designed to meet the needs of contractors and farmers.
The 6230R and 6250R set new standards for transportation, operator comfort and acceleration on the road
Thanks to a 50 hp engine with intelligent power management (IPM), the 6250R flagship tractor provides up to 300 hp when needed. With a light vehicle weight of 9.3 tons, the 6250R offers more power than any other tractor in this weight class, along with an unequaled power density of 31kg/hp. The high maximum permissible weight of 15 tons also allows a payload of 5.7 tons, which means that the tractor is capable of carrying heavier loads.
The new tractors feature a 6.8-liter PowerTech PSS engine with dual turbochargers and advanced DPF and SCR technology, which responds rapidly to changing loads while consuming less fuel
Both models meet the stringent emission standards of Stage IV. Its improved AutoPowr transmission offers maximum efficiency, with 100% mechanical power available at 3.5km/h for heavy-duty operations, 11km/h for light work, 22.5km/h for heavy transport and 47.2km/h for light transport. Once it is run at maximum road speed, its rpm drops automatically and at 50 km/h it is maintained at 1630 rpm and at 40 km/h at 1300 rpm, which translates into lower fuel consumption on the road.
New models also feature a brand new CommandPRO joystick that brings a new dimension in ergonomics and versatility to John Deere tractors
Maximum speed can be achieved with a single push, and 11 programmable buttons are available for Hook, PTO, SCVs, AutoTrac controls, etc. The CommandPRO functionality allows the tractor to be controlled from maximum speed to zero with a simple push or pull of the joystick and lower speeds from 0 to 2 km/h with the control function of the vine.
Both the joystick and the pedals can be operated at the same time, and there is no need for an external ISOBUS joystick, since the driver can also operate the tractor and ISOBUS functions simultaneously.
Equipped with a hydraulic system of pressure and flow compensated, the new tractors of the series 6R offer a maximum powerful flow of 160 liters/min at 1500 rpm, which also translates into a saving of fuel
Up to six SCVs have been grouped with individual pressure relief levers for easy access, and new lifting capacities are 10.4 tons in the rear hitch and 5 tons in the front.
Efficiency and Comfort
The 6230R and 6250R tractors also offer a high level of comfort for the operator. The intelligent cabin hydropneumatic suspension system (HCS Plus) offers greater driving comfort and noise and vibration isolation.
Better traction and up to 10 percent more power applied to the ground are provided by the new triple-link TLS Plus suspension system on the front axle
The TLS Plus automatically adjusts the sensitivity and rate of suspension, and synchronizes with the hitch detection to compensate for the power jump in conditions of heavy draft.
The variable steering system (VRS), which can be turned on and off from the CommandCenter control console, requires less arm movement and less steering effort
Other options include a new connectivity package that includes MyJobsConnect and MyJobsManager applications, which allow drivers to view and perform tasks in real time through their mobile device.
John Deere is also the first full line agricultural manufacturer to introduce a navigation optimization and logistics system specially designed for agricultural use.
The Intelligent Navigation and Fleet Logistics system has all the roads of the estate, as well as an overview of the fleet, and shows the drivers the fastest and safest way
Another advantage of this system is that it can navigate between the operators of a point of unloading and a machine of lead that moves of field to field, like a harvester.
The key service points of the new 6R series tractors are easily accessible for maintenance.
Both models feature 750-hour engine oil filter, fuel filter and engine oil intervals, helping to further reduce parts maintenance costs
Durable diesel particulate filter and low consumption of 2 to 3 percent diesel exhaust provide additional savings.
