Viveros Hernandorena reinforces its leadership as a producer of kaki plants
Viveros Hernandorena is currently one of the largest kaki plant producers in Europe with more than 150,000 kaki plants of its own production.
A pioneer nursery in kaki plants, Viveros Hernandorena is the leader in this segment. The commitment to R&D in their production systems, the joint work with breeders and research centers, and the continuous training of their teams, currently positions them as a reference nursery, not only at the national level, but also outside our borders, where they are facing large projects for new crops.
Viveros Hernandorena has a capacity of more than 150,000 kaki plants, mainly of the Rojo Brillante variety, which accounts for 80% of its production, and which is complemented by other non-astringent varieties, among which Jiro and Fuyu stand out.
In addition to this high volume of plant, another values of Viveros Hernandorena is the entire plant of its own production. They go one step further to guarantee the highest quality to their customers, and that leads them to position themselves as one of the largest kaki plants producers in Europe.
This capacity of its own production plant allows them to face large plantation projects, both within and outside our borders. In this sense, they have specialized in the export of kaki plants, guaranteeing maximum plant health.
New variety of kaki
Although they had already been working with the Ribera Sun variety for a few years, it will be from this campaign that Viveros Hernandorena reinforces the availability of kaki plants of this material in volume.
It is a variety of Genesis Innovation Group of which Viveros Hernandorena has an exclusive multiplication license. Due to this campaign, they increase their plant in volume and quality.
