The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment promotes frozen seafood fair in 2015 CONXEMAR
The institutional Pavilion will occupy an area of 100 square meters and will have different promotional and information boards relating to fishery products and internationalization. In that space ANFACO-CECOPESCA, the Regulatory Council of the PDO Galician Mussel, the Organization of longliners Guardeses and business Association of Marine Fish Culture of Spain will be present. After the fair, FAO, Conxemar and Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, held in Vigo the 20th anniversary of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and the First International Forum Stackholders fishing.
The Secretary General of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Andrés Hermida will participate, on Monday, October 5, at the inauguration of the seventeenth edition of the International Fair of Frozen Sea Products CONXEMAR 2015, to be held in Vigo Fairgrounds-IFEVI, from 5 to 7 October.
The Ministry will this fair with an institutional pavilion will occupy an area of 100 m², which will be present with a stand, the National Association of Manufacturers of Canned Fish and Shellfish (ANFACO-CECOPESCA), the Regulatory Council PDO Mussel of Galicia, the Organization of longliners Guardeses (OR.PA.GU) and the Business Association of Marine Aquaculture Producers of Spain (APROMAR).
In this edition, the outer perimeter of the stand MAGRAMA, different advertising and information panels will be installed, highlighting, in the main area map of Spain with the relationship Organizations Fish Producers and species fishing and trading with subject to value these entities allow sustainable production and improved income from the fishing sector.
It will also provide information on the regulations of the Common Market Organisation for fishery products and aquaculture, where the mandatory consumer information requirements are set, with its last mandatory rules from December 13, 2014 .
Conxemar leading trade fair in southern Europe
Conxemar revalidated in 2014 its leadership as the first fair of southern Europe, and it was consolidated in the top ten in the world. He set a record with 26,000 visitors a hundred countries around the world but noted an increased presence of Portugal, Italy, France, Holland and Greece. They involved more than five hundred exhibitors, 6.3 percent more, 36 countries and the UK, Morocco, Nicaragua and Chile debuted with own pavilions.
This edition of the International Fair of Frozen Sea Products CONXEMAR, with the participation of 520 exhibitors who will occupy 33,000 m2 of the event. This year, with the presence of 40 countries, growing international presence among exhibitors. Turkey, Korea, Indonesia and China Jiangxi region will participate for the first time this year, with its own pavilion.
After two years of absence, restates Canada. In addition, Conxemar retells the participation of the main producing and consuming countries of fishery products as usual at the fair: USA, Portugal, Ireland, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Tunisia and Panama, as well as national pavilions of the Communities regions of Andalucia, the Canary Islands, Galicia, Basque Country and Asturias.
The Ministry has participated in all editions of the Fair Conxemar from the first held in 1999, and their participation is generally based on the installation of a stand of 100 m2. In most years it has ceded part of the space to national associative bodies.
20th anniversary responsible fishing
8 and 9 October, at the end of the fair, FAO, Conxemar and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, held in Vigo the 20th anniversary of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and the First International Forum of Stackholders fishing.
The objective of organizing this event for Spain is to offer an image of fisheries worldwide leadership, it is committed to the future of fishing activity for future generations and increased commitment of States and of the institutions. It also aims to promote sustainable fishing struggle understood in its broadest management and conservation of marine and fisheries, responsible fishing, trade responsibly, respect the environment and the urgent need for scientific research sense to know the reality of the seabed.
At that point, Spain is a world leader in the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, in what represents a global challenge for all nations.
