Spain: Barcelona Degusta brings together 10 Michelin stars in more than 90 activities and workshops

Lectures, workshops, tastings, storytelling, theater, outdoor concerts and many other attractions aderezarán a lounge in which to try, taste and buy the best food production. Its agreement with La Mercè, the Festival of Barcelona, will help support the city as gastronomic capital of international scope.
Teachers who parade through Barcelona Degusta will be nothing short of chefs Joan Roca (Celler de Can Roca), Carme Ruscalleda (Sant Pau), Fermi Puig, Nandu Jubany (Can Jubany), Carles Gaig (Restaurant Gaig), Carles Abellan (Bravo ) and Ada Parellada (Semproniana); pastry chefs like Christian Escribà (Pastry Escribà) and David Pallàs; summerliers as David Escofet (Tastavins), and bread experts as Daniel Jordà (Creative Panes).
Carme Ruscalleda discuss “how to combine cheese with sweet and savory dishes,” Nandu Jubany show the full universe of “rice from within”, Sergio and Javier Torres (Dos Cielos) will star in a show cooking on “cooking with vegetables,” Joan Roca bring “the appetizers and snacks cosmopolitan” snack, Carles Abellan present the “stews Barcelona” Carles Gaig and reveal “how to make macaroni cannelloni and party.”
Although Barcelona Tastes will also accommodate other culinary cultures with demonstrations of traditional Cantonese cuisine in Hong Kong; Okonomiyaki workshop, the best known variety of Japanese omelette; and traditional Mexican tacos.

Meanwhile, children will be protagonists of Taste Kids, one designed especially for them in order to begin to learn, enjoy and experiment with food, giving free rein to their imagination area.
On the other hand, chocolate lovers, crafts fresh and creative pastry also find their own paradise in BCN & CAKE, the international fair of creative pastry joins Barcelona Degusta in its next edition with exhibition areas, courses and competitions on sugar flowers, cakes 3D cakes celebration, face painting, decorating ‘cupcakes’ and all sorts of creative modeled by some of the most prestigious confectioners, chocolate makers and international Cake Designers.
Food trucks, concerts, high fashion and menus
Out of all the leisure activities that Barcelona Degusta added to its agenda, scheduled outdoor activities in Plaça Univers fairgrounds, will be a major attraction for visitors to the show. In addition to a picnic area, an urban garden and concerts, they will be installed more than 20 food trucks to present the latest trends in ‘urban’ and ‘street food’ with a cuisine very varied: pancakes, sandwiches, tortillas, croquettes, dairy, ‘sushi’, hot dogs … And for those who love new experiences, “Dinners in the sky” will also serve: various groups of 22 people can climb 50 meters to enjoy a unique banquet.
A large multi market
Alongside these activities, Barcelona Degusta presents a large market in the best domestic food production, designations of origin, protected geographical indications and, in general, the typical food of an area with special involvement of the artisanal workings. The lounge will be composed of dedicated monographic areas, among other products, wines, cheeses, bread, sweets and beer. Regarding the latter and the result of agreement with the organizers of the Barcelona Beer Festival, the show will have its own Taste Beer Festival, a big bar of craft beers from around the world, which shall prevail over the native varieties of popular acceptance.
