National Convention of Agri-food Cooperatives. Murcia
Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España has organized a national convention of cooperatives on the 26th and 27th of April in the Víctor Villegas auditorium in Murcia. The event is expected to bring together more than 400 representatives of cooperatives, from all sectors and the entire geography of the country, together with leading experts from national and international levels.
The Convention aims to focus and debate together on what are the issues that currently matter most to Spanish cooperatives, such as the future of the EU and the Common Agricultural Policy, the short and medium term economic prospects or consumer trends. For this, three simultaneous workshops of experts will also be held on the afternoon of the 26th, in which the trends in agricultural production, in the agri-food industry, and in markets and commercialization will be analyzed.
Highlight the high level of the speakers and experts who will intervene in the Convention, including the General Secretary of Agriculture and Food MAPAMA, Carlos Cabanas; the Vice President of the European Parliament, Ramón Luis Valcárcel; Jorge García Reig, of the General Directorate of European Funds of the Ministry of Finance; Anna Campos, economist at the Research Department of CaixaBank; Mauricio García de Quevedo, director of FIAB; or José Luis Molina, Agro president of AMETIC … to name just a few.
The intervention by videoconference of the Commissioner of Agriculture of the European Union, Phil Hogan, is also planned, in addition to the presence of the president and the Minister of Water, Agriculture and Fisheries of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras and Francisco Jódar, respectively.
The Convention has the sponsorship of Cajamar, CaixaBank, Syngenta, Repsol, Sigfito, FMC, Agropelayo, Basf, Baywa, AFCO, Certifood and Agroseguro and the collaboration of the Government of the Region of Murcia.
