More than 100 companies developing drones for land, sea and air will participate in the second edition of the most important fair of Europe on drones for civilian use, Expodrónica 2016, which will be held in Zaragoza from Septembre 22th to 23rd. After its first edition in 2015, where there were about 80 exhibitors and more than 6.500 visitors, Expodrónica 2016 extends its exhibition space and multiplies its areas.
Land, sea and air will be the venues where they can be manned aircraft not meeting for the first time in a single event like this.
The fair will bring together the world’s leading manufacturers of drones and also to companies developing applications for different sectors, from Asia, Europe and the United States. In addition, within the framework of the Fair the first meeting of associations of drones in Spain will be held and the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), meanwhile, will give various technical presentations, all at a key moment waiting for a clearly defined legislation governing the sector of drones in our country.

Expodrónica 2016 is the only fair in Spain that brings drones for civilian use and shows the latest innovations of a sector in full expansion. This year will be the latest in technological developments, particularly in sensors and applications of these UAVs in the field of security and logistics.
Other uses are being studied by the pharmaceutical cluster, is the distribution of medicines.
Neither won’t lose this event the best pilots of drones at national and international level. A fair which has already become a reference within and outside our country. And, in addition to the myriad of professional use, drones also postulated as a new discipline at the level of Formula 1. Luke Bannister, the British driver world champion with only 15 years, gives the go-ahead to a only meeting to be held in Zaragoza in September.
Currently there are 1.461 authorized by AESA operators. In December 2014, there were only 50 companies registered, clear indicator that the sector is experiencing unprecedented growth, with a rate that doubles every year the number of companies launched on the sector. Drones in Spain represent 10% of the aircraft.
AUVSI, the International Association of Drones, estimates there will be 100.000 new jobs related to this industry in the US alone, with an impact of more than $ 82 million in 2025.
The European Commission estimates that over the next 20 years 100.000 jobs related to the sector, with an impact of more than 10 million euros each year, mainly in the services sector, will be created.
Market forecasts in Spain indicate an annual growth of 15% in terms of turnover and it reaches in 2050 a turnover of 20 million euros a year
