Energy efficiency in the European industry

The final day will take place on February 26 in Madrid, in the ETSI Agronomists of the University City. Here the project results will be presented after three years of direct experience in energy efficiency in agri-cooperatives in several European countries.
Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain recently organized in different parts of the national territory (Albacete, Cieza, Madrid, Santander) several days to disseminate the results of the TESLA project in recent years. During these meetings, it has been transferred to technicians and managers of many Spanish cooperatives, the recommendations that the TESLA project has collected after its nearly thirty months of direct experience in energy efficiency in agri-cooperatives.
To conclude the round of dissemination of project results, Agri-food Cooperatives will organize a final Conference on 26 February in Madrid, the ETSI of Agronomists.
The TESLA project is a European project designed and led by Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain, together with cooperative organizations in other European countries, and funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe program of the European Union. This project aims to achieve energy savings in the food industry and especially in cooperatives in the sectors of warehouses, feed mills, packing houses and mills.
110 cooperatives were Spain, France, Portugal and Italy which have benefited from the project actions, causing significant energy savings and mobilizing millions of euros in investments.
The event will feature the participation of representatives of the European Commission, as Ignacio Seoane, Chief of Environment, Forestry and Climate Change DGAGRI, who will explain the instruments available to the PAC to support investments in energy efficiency. They will also participate responsible for participating institutions as ENEA, the University of Evora, the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Circe, and other companies that have been crucial for the proper development of the project, as Siemens or CIAT and responsible for other European project as FEIRACO , IRTA and Bama.
The closing of the day will be the responsibility of the director of Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain, Agustín Herrero and the director of the Agroalimentariar MAGRAMA Industry, Fernando Burgaz, who will present to the audience the program lines for integrated sustainable industry agrifood, released by the Ministry.
