FRUIT LOGISTICA returns to visit the Murcian production sector on November 28th, organizing a session in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
The day, which will be inaugurated by the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Jódar, is intended for the Murcian fruit and vegetable sector, and especially the organic farming that continues to grow in importance in this Region. Leader in production of organic fruits and vegetables in the European Union, Murcia continues the trend of expansion of the organic in their crops, with almost 80,000 hectares of organic farming, of which 28,000 are nuts, 25,000 cereals and 12,000 vineyards. The remaining hectares belong to vegetables, citrus fruits and other minority crops.
One of the leading companies in the sector, Kernel Export, will share its first-hand experience -starts, development and challenges-, encouraging to follow the success steps for this range of products
In order to contribute the point of view of the importers and to make a balance of the sector in the markets with which the Region has more commercial exchanges, will attend as speaker Christian Palamar, of Cbet Frische Services & Handels. The German importer specializes in fresh products from controlled organic crops and collaborates with Biomontaña, Spanish delegation of the German BioFrucht and the Dutch Bioworld. In his presentation, Palamar will review the evolution of fresh produce in Germany and the Netherlands in recent decades and take stock of the current situation.
From the organization, Silvia de Juanes, Communication Director of FRUIT LOGISTICA for Spain and Latin America, will be in charge of presenting the tools that the fair has for the promotion of companies dedicated to organic production.
David Samper, president of the Council of Organic Agriculture of the Region of Murcia, will close the event by sharing with the audience the importance of organic farming in the Region of Murcia, and the fundamental role of exporting production to the rest of Europe.
With this day Murcia returns to support and advise its business sector, aware of the weight that the fruit and vegetable sector has in the region. Likewise, it encourages the participation of Murcian companies in the most important commercial platform in the sector so that this means a boost to commercial relations with other international companies.
