The main fair of fresh fruits and vegetables from Asia, Asia Fruit Logistics (AFL), to be held from 7th to 9th September 2016 at the Asia World-Expo Hong Kong, prepares for a record edition, after passing, just two months before its inauguration, sales of exhibition space by 15% compared to last year’s total.
Egypt and Australia, which are among the top five exhibitor countries AFL in recent years, have increased the reserved space by 30 and 24 percent, respectively, compared with last year’s figure.
Many other countries are increasing their presence, albeit from lower bases. Exhibiting nations from Asia leading the way. In late June, Pakistan (+170 percent), Thailand (+100 percent), Korea (+83 percent) and Japan (+39 percent) had significant increases in the exhibition space.
European countries like Germany (+63 percent), Greece (+71 percent) and Spain (+68 percent) are also among the biggest promoters.
In this Fair will be developed a interesting program of events which includes: the Asia Fruit Congress that, organized in close cooperation to Fruitlogistica, offers an ideal opportunity to extend the knowledge of the Asian markets and make new business contacts; Cool Logistics Asia, a high level forum addressing perishable logistics and temperature-controlled transport, handling and distribution services across Asia; Smart Horticulture Asia, a new, high-level, Asia business forum on fruit and vegetables sector, and a Business Forum.
