New norm of reception of almond shell
As of August 1, the new rules have come into effect that will allow obtaining higher quality products to improve their position in the most demanding markets.
This new regulation has been agreed by the organizations of the chain of production, shelling and marketing of the Spanish almond sector, AEOFRUSE, Agro-food Cooperatives of Spain and DESCALMENDRA during the meeting held in Madrid on July 15, in the They agreed to collect in the current Almond Shell Reception Standards all the relevant points to take into account.
In this way, an improvement tool for the sector is made available to all operators, which allows obtaining products with the highest quality in order to position them in the most demanding markets, differentiating them from those of other origins.
These regulations enter into force throughout the Spanish territory from August 1, 2019, and will be in force for two years, that is, until August 1, 2021, being extendable by the tacit unless they are reliably denounced by any of the Almond sectors, with a minimum of three months in advance, before the national association of almond shells “DESCALMENDRA”, which undertakes to communicate to the different almond sectors such complaint, and start the holding of the various meetings to prepare the New regulations.
