Ministry calls for aid for the creation of organizations of supra-autonomous producers in the sector

The Official State Gazette collects on Friday a Resolution, approved by the president of the Spanish Fund for Agrarian Guarantee (FEGA), for which calls are convened in 2018 for the promotion of the creation of producer organizations and associations of producer organizations of supra-autonomous character in the agrarian sector, within the framework of the National Rural Development Program 2014-2020, for actions to be carried out until 2022.

According to this Resolution, producer organizations that are officially recognized by the competent authority as of May 26, 2014, have a scope of supra-autonomous activity, a minimum marketing volume of 1 million euros per annuity, can benefit from these aids. and comply with the rest of the requirements established in Royal Decree 236/2018, of April 27. The Associations of Producer Organizations (AOP) are also included as possible beneficiaries of these aids.

The total budget for these grants is 2,047,550 euros, distributed as follows: 500,000 euros for the year 2018, 450,000 euros for the year 2019, 405,000 euros for the year 2020, 364,500 euros for the year 2021 and 328,050 euros for the year 2022. The financing of these grants will be made 80 percent from the EAFRD and 20 percent from the national budget.

The aid will consist of a fixed amount that will be paid in annual installments for a maximum of five years from the date of the official recognition of the producer organization. A maximum aid is established for OPs and AOPs of 10% of the value of the production marketed jointly during the first five years after its recognition, which will be paid in annual installments and with decreasing character, not being able to exceed the limit of 100,000 euros per year.

Applications for assistance will be submitted within 20 days, counted from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOE.

These grants are regulated by Royal Decree 236/2018, of April 27, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid for the promotion of the creation of organizations of producers and associations of producer organizations of a supra-autonomous nature in the agrarian sector.
