MAC Fruit Attraction opens the door
Organized by IFEMA, Cesena Fiera and IFP, and with the participation of 59 companies, was held from 4 to 7 May in Cairo under FoodAfrica. They are two of the exhibition operators of the major producing countries exporting fruit and vegetables, Spain and Italy, create this new platform that will favor the positioning and international professional network of horticultural companies.
It starts the first edition of Fruit Attraction Mac, the new global brand for the fruit and vegetable sector, held from 4 to 7 May in Cairo under FoodAfrica, an event that brings together the offer of 285 exhibitors from 29 countries.
A total of 59 companies participating in this first call, among which are Spanish companies like Citrosol, Churruca and Tabuenca Products and Afrucat, Fruita Business Association of Catalonia; Afruex, Fruit Growers Association of Extremadura, and APOEXPA, Association of Producers and Exporters of fruits, table grapes and other agricultural products, representing the interests of its members, who will benefit from direct access to new strategic markets, enabling them contact local operators and the area of influence.
Currently the Spanish fruit exports to Egypt are registering significant growth. According to FEPEX, in the period January to November 2015 increased by 268% over the same period last year, from 1,197 tons in January-November 2014 to 4,408 tons in 2015. Despite this positive behavior Spanish exports over the past year, Spain remains one of the last exporting countries to Egypt of the European Union.
In this sense, Mac Fruit Attraction contributes to open markets and create new opportunities for Spanish productions. So, among other initiatives, it offers participants a powerful buyer program consists of 400 professionals purchasing chain and distribution of more than 54 countries, mostly in Asia and Africa, with high power of decision in his company and capacity to negotiate in the Hall. An action that allows exhibitors to arrange appointments with previous guests buyers.
The first edition of MAC Fruit Attraction, new global brand for the fruit and vegetable sector born after the established partnership between IFEMA and CESENA FIERA, held in Cairo from 4 to 7 May 2016, under FoodAfrica I, organized by IFP Group-, covering the geographical area of Middle East and North Africa.
