Loyant®, a new herbicide against rice weeds
This innovative solution by Corteva Agriscience ™ for rice cultivation stands out for its wide spectrum of action and its high flexibility of use.
Corteva Agriscience™, leading company in the agricultural sector in seed technology, crop protection and digital agriculture, offers the farmer the new and innovative Loyant® herbicide, a post-emergency product for rice cultivation, thanks to the exceptional registration granted for the 2020 campaign in accordance with Art. 53 of Regulation (EU) 1107/2009.
Loyant® is the first formulation developed by Corteva Agriscience based on the active substance Rinskor ™ active, a member of the new arylpicolinate chemical family, which constitutes a novel and alternative mode of action for the control of broadleaf weeds, sedges and grasses in rice cultivation.
In this sense, weed control programs, including resistant species, based on Rinskor ™ active help protect crops by making them more profitable. Its wide spectrum of action, its high flexibility of use, as well as its favorable profile for the environment, the user and the consumer, make the new Loyant® herbicide an indispensable tool to improve rice plantations in a sustainable way.
