Illusion and new projects inundate the 18th General Assembly of Members “5 a day”
On March 2 was one of the key issues for the Association “5 a day” days when the General Assembly of Members was held and held the awards that bear the same name. The event was sponsored by Euro Pool System, Bimi Sakata and TransSalsa and with the collaboration of Cajamar, Fruit Attraction and Mercamadrid.
In the Hall of the Administrative Centre of Mercamadrid, it took place one of the most important events for the Association, the XVIII General Assembly of Members, with the participation of many partners representing different companies in the horticultural sector.
During the Assembly, besides presenting partners accounts last year, the activities and the work done by the Scientific Committee and its international development, the strategic plan for 2016-2017 that the Association was presented facing forward. Another issue presented was The traveling Frutoteca, star project “5 a day” that brings children in a playful way the tour of fruits and vegetables from planting until they get home.
After the Assembly, took place dinner partners where delivery of the IX Edition of Awards “5 a day” in which winners this year were held:
• In the category of Children, he presented the Manuel Montero to BROCOLI PASSION Sakata Seed IBERIAN prize IFCO for the initiative whose mission is to provide varieties of vegetables that contribute to the production of natural foods for the welfare of people and especially children and picked Maria Angeles Lluch, head of communications of the entity.
• In the Category Society, President of the Association presented the award to LIDL SUPERMARKETS for his work in spreading healthy message “5 a day” and emphasize to consumers the importance of eating five servings of fruits and vegetables; Manuel Blanco, Head of purchases of fruits and vegetables SPAIN LIDL was on hand to collect the prize.
• And in the Category Disclosure, Manel Simon of Afrucat was on hand to present the award to the educational and informational children’s series PEPPA PIG ENTERTAINMENT ONE which was collected by Peppa own Pig accompanied by Almudena Moreno Agency Brand Management and Promotional Marketing, “The Eight”.
As a postscript to this intense day, a show of humor that made enjoy all attendees offered.
One more year, the Association was very pleased with the results achieved in 2015 and with desire and enthusiasm to continue working with and for its partners during 2016.
