“Ibérica de Patatas” attend Fruit Attraction with the seal of quality food M Madrid
“Ibérica de Patatas”, market leader in potato consumption in Spain, will attend this edition of Fruit Attraction (Madrid, October 28 to 30) with the seal of M Madrid food quality that distinguishes foods produced or processed in the region. The distinctive M Product Certification seeks to guarantee the origin and quality of foodstuffs in the Community of Madrid. With this distinction “Ibérica de Patatas” consolidates its commitment to quality and the indigenous product.
In fact, in its commitment to promote indigenous and seasonal product, “Ibérica de Patatas”will again present in the PapaMadrid, New Madrid potato fair, which the company first brought to the mass distribution in the last campaign. Papamadrid is characterized by its freshness because it is collected and arranged in the linear next day. The campaign focuses on the summer months, July and August, mainly.
In the same way “Ibérica de Patatas” take the competition one of its most important products of the season, La Perla, a potato variety Voyager, high quality for all culinary uses and especially for frying, for good adaptation to cold, as it is marketed from October to April, in a time when it is difficult to find optimal frying varieties. Moreover, this variety is well adapted to conservation in chambers at low temperatures. La Perla also known for its great taste due to the type of soil in which it is grown.
This variety, which first launched last year, can be found at 25 kilos formats. It is intended, therefore, the traditional market (wholesalers) and the Horeca channel.
One million euros in the latest technology
In “Ibérica de Patatas”Fruit Attraction will also present its latest investment. In the last year it has allocated around one million euros to establish a new potato processing line unwashed, more modern and with greater production capacity, better selection and brushing. In addition, the company has incorporated into its new facilities at Mercamadrid weighing and packaging, including a next-generation packaging for processed potato IV Gama.
A dynamic and supportive company
Potato Iberian reveals, once again, as a dynamic company in constant growth, which focuses on innovation, technology and investment promotion. At the same time, it is a caring and committed to their environment. In this sense, since January this year, participating in a campaign donation to Messengers of Peace, the NGO founded and directed by Father Angel. Each month,”Ibérica de Patatas”donates a minimum of 3,000 kilos of potatoes to food banks and soup kitchens of this organization. On stock all brands of Ibérica de Patatas has included a logo that identifies the product as supportive of Messengers of Peace. The more foods labeled solidarity marketed, Iberian acquires more capacity to increase monthly donations to Messengers of Peace.
So far this year “Ibérica de Patatas” has donated around 30,000 kilos this NGO.
