Asia Fruit Logistica 2016: Spain, the country’s fastest growing
Between 7 and 9 September will be held in Hong Kong the 10th edition of the fair of fruits and vegetables most important in Asia: Asia Fruit Logistica. The event, which has already registered record highs in 2015, has grown by 10% in the number of exhibitors who have applied this year. Spain is the country with largest increase in participation registered so far. Followed Ecuador, Egypt, Australia and Chile. Colombia will attend for the first time.
Among the exhibitors is reserved space for 21 national pavilions and is expected to participate as exhibitors from 35 countries around the world, among which the presence, for the first time in the event of Colombia.
Spain, who attends national flag again coordinated by the ICEX, is the country with largest increase in participation registered so far, with a reserve of headspace to 118% compared to the 2015 edition Followers Ecuador, which space grows 50%; Egypt, which makes 40%; Australia, with 20% increase and Chile, with 17% more space.
However, the key to the success of this event – which last year brought together over 9,200 trade visitors from 70 countries – probably lies in the significant increase in Asian visitors, which accounted for 66% of the total. A fact that, as stated Gérald Lamusse, Director General of Global Produce Events, positions the fair as “the pan-Asian industry event that focuses the interest of both buyers and suppliers.”

That is why the framework queen ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA a series of events and conferences aimed at the various players in the value chain and encompassed in what the organization calls the “Asia Week” is celebrated.

In addition, Asia Fruit Logistica 2016 organizes new for September 8 conference SMART Horticulture Asia, the first conference dedicated to information management, standards and technology for the sector of fruits and vegetables in Asia, organized in collaboration with the Dutch Frug I Com.
