As every year BASF organized a field circuit which outlined the main technological solutions in seed treatment, herbicides and fungicides for growing peanuts. The main objective is to respond to the issues that are presented to the company, with technology and training.

BASF organized the traditional technical conference to field being conducted every year for growing peanuts. The venue was in La Carlota with the assistance of more than 100 producers. The Technical Coordinator Responsible Market area, Ing. Agr. Angela Perez noticed a higher turnout compared to other years due to the need of producing answers to the main problems you have and remarked that local producers are leaders in applying technology and constantly seeking to innovate and invest improve the quality and sustainability of the crop.

 

“From BASF feel the need to accompany this trend and provide new solutions that expand our technology portfolio every year,” he said Engineer BASF. As for the issues addressed the conference, we sought to answer all the questions you have a producer during the crop cycle, starting with seed treatment with information on pre-inoculated in peanuts, going through the best time to apply postemergence herbicides up reach fungicide application programs, and day intervals to the first application.

Regarding fungicides, the focus was placed on novelty Ultra Orchestra, the triple mixture (F500, epoxiconazole and innovative carboxamide Xemium) that BASF launched for growing peanuts and gives greater power and persistence of fungicide action.

In addition, future research were presented and trends to continue protecting the genetic potential of seed and mainly agricultural producer to continue responding to their concerns heard came forward.
