Adama consolidates its commitment to the cultivation of cotton
One more year Adama participates in ExpoAlgodón to show the good results of Ordago® SC + Cottonex® 50 for the control of weeds, as well as the solution Lebron® 0.5G for the control of soil insects.
The Sevillian municipality of Lebrija has hosted the fifth edition of ExpoAlgodón, a reference for growers in the Lower Guadalquivir and other cotton regions of Córdoba and Jaén. This year the event has gathered more than 1,000 visitors, who have been able to verify on the ground and by the hand of Narciso Ramírez, Regional Manager of Adama for the South zone, the good results obtained with the solutions of the company: “In control of weeds bet for the mixture of Ordago® SC + Cottonex® 50 for both narrow leaf and broadleaf and species such as “tomatito” (Solanum nigrum L.).
The farmers present have also known the advantages of Lebron® 0.5G for the control of wire worm or brad: “This product, based on Teflutrin, is especially indicated for large infestations of this pest”, stressed Narciso Ramírez, who has advanced that, facing the next season, producers will have at their disposal Cottonex® Neopro, a formulation with two preemergence herbicides.
One of the novelties of ExpoAlgodón in its edition of 2018 has been the presence of about thirty Turkish technicians and distributors who have come to Spain, from the hand of Adama, to know the agronomic techniques that are developed here in different crops, among them that of cotton: “They are very interested and many doubts arise, even taking into account that Turkey is a leader in the cultivation of cotton. They are always willing to have new experiences and know what is done in other countries, and that is why we are here, “said Ergdomus Funda, Marketing Manager at Adama Turkey.
