ACCERES has acquired Certis Research and Development activities in Germany
Acceres, European leading Agricultural Contract Research Group, has acquired the German R&D centers of Certis Europe.
Founded by the cooperation between GAB Consulting, leading European regulatory consulting company offering comprehensive registration services for the biopesticide, biocide and agrochemical industry, and Promovert, historical South Europe Field Testing Company, Acceres offers a complete package of services in Regulatory Services, Field Trials and Laboratories Studies.
After acquiring the field testing activity of Phyteurop (a subsidiary of Bioline by Invivo) in 2018 and Biotek Agriculture (leading European field trial company) late 2019, this new strategic operation strengthens the value-added services offered by Acceres, while expanding its footprint in Germany and across Europe.
Certis Research and development activities in Germany are comprised of 15 staff in 2 facilities: the R&D Center (13 staff) based in Christinenthal (North of Hamburg) and an additional field station (2 staff) located in Bad Durkheim (Near Mannheim).
- EARLY STAGE EFFICACY TESTING: trials in growth chambers and greenhouses under controlled conditions
- FORMULATION SERVICES: building & optimizing formulations for Plant Protection Products (Chemicals and Biologicals) and Biocides
- Professional COMPATIBILITY testing of tank mixes
- SAMPLE MANAGEMENT for commercial and regulatory trials in Germany and abroad
“We are proud Certis Europe has chosen ACCERES to outsource their development and field testing activities in Germany. Except with our regulatory expertise, we had no presence in Germany. The upcoming merger with Syntech Research offered us good perspectives but we now enter this market with a strong asset. Our customers require quality, communication and expertise, having highly skilled staff is key to success, we have now a great team of experts to answer and anticipate customer’s needs” says Yvonnick Jambon CEO of ACCERES.
Jacques Haverlant – Head of Innovation and Development in Certis Europe – adds “We are happy with the agreement we reached with Acceres. Acceres is a dynamic research organization and we are confident that the activity of the research stations will further grow in the coming years. It also comes with an agreement securing the continuity of some promising research programs established there, which are very important for us and our shareholders”.
The merger with Syntech Research is expected in the coming weeks (https://youtu.be/ixKd-Jt6oHw). It demonstrates the company business growth and quality objectives to form a world-leading global Agricultural R&D Contract Research Organisation (CRO). From field studies to outsourcing the development of whole products, up to registration and beyond, the combined offer will enable the new Company to reach a new dimension and become a dominant global player in this sector.
