Spain: Taste Spain presents its work plan to promote food tourism in the coming months
The Association of dining destinations to promote food tourism, have for this year, two pricipales objectives: participation in Madrid Fusion 2016 and strengthen public-private partnership to boost the appeal of gastronomic tourism in our country.
The various representatives of the Association of dining destinations for the Promotion of Gastronomic Tourism, Taste Spain, chaired by the Mayor of Valladolid Oscar Puente, met on the morning of June 14 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism in Madrid with the new political leaders.
The event was attended by the president of Taste Spain, Pedro Larumbe; the secretary general of the Spanish Federation of Hotels (FEHR), Emilio Gallego; President of Cultural Federation of Chefs and Confectioners of Spain (Facyre), Mario Sandoval; the manager of Euro-Toques, Mayre Modrego; and representatives of Paradores Turespaña and 19 tourist destinations that are part of the association.
Among the actions to be undertaken in the second half of 2015 include a promotion in London, the participation of the association and some of its members in the Milan Expo 2015, which will be present in the Pavilion of Spain and the World Day Cover .
Another of the main topics will be the participation of Taste Spain at Madrid Fusion 2016.
The Spanish Association for the Advancement Destinations Gastronomic Tourism is one of the founding partners of Taste Spain. Currently, the 19 destinations that form are: A Coruna, Badajoz, Cambrils, Ciudad Real, Denia, Lanzarote, Logroño, Madrid, Menorca, Murcia, Pamplona, Sant Carles de la Rapita, Segovia, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia, Valladolid, Vinaròs and Zaragoza.
