ASAJA celebrates a conference on the situation of the Iberian and its possible growth
Asaja Córdoba, together with the Caja Rural del Sur Foundation, will hold this Tuesday in Villanueva de Córdoba the 11th Porcine Conference where, among other issues, the Iberian situation and the possibility of growth of the sector will be discussed.
Among the issues that will be addressed at the conference, the president of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Los Pedroches, Antonio Torralbo, will talk about this denomination as a basic pillar for rural development in the north of the province of Córdoba.
The meeting will be inaugurated by the president of Asaja Córdoba, Ignacio Fernández de Mesa; the counselor of Caja Rural del Sur José María Calero and the mayor of Villanueva de Córdoba, María Dolores Sánchez.
Later, the doctor engineer agronomist Maria Dolores Carbonero will present his paper ‘The dry oak: preventive measures’, and the head of Product and Pig Service of Nutega, Jorge Muñoz, will talk about the weaning of the Iberian piglet under the new regulations of reduction of antibiotics.
Finally, during the day, which has the sponsorship of Nutega, PDO Los Pedroches and the Diputación de Córdoba, a round table will be held on the situation of pigs. In it, will participate Fernández de Mesa, the president of the sector of Porcino Ibérico de Asaja Nacional, José María Molina; the president of Covap, Ricardo Delgado; the vice president of DOP Los Pedroches, Fernando Adell; and the president of the Association for the Promotion and Development of Cordovan Meat Products (Apdeccor), Félix Ríos.
