HOTEL MELIÃ LEBREROS.
The Official College of Agricultural Technical Engineers of Western Andalusia (COITAND) celebrates the 14th edition of its National Symposium on Plant Protection from January 25th to 27th, at the Meliá Lebreros Hotel in Seville.
Since 1984, COITAND has been organizing the National Symposium on Plant Health as a successful formula for the exchange of information, an opportunity for analysis on the present and future of the sector and an open platform to propose and express opinions, alternatives and concerns, currently aimed at finding solutions adapted to the new technologies and regulations that are emerging.
In that line, the 14th Symposium aims to consolidate itself as a forum of obliged and desired meeting for all professional levels: administration, manufacturers, distribution, technicians, farmers, industries and advisers.
The challenge of the 2017 Plant Health Symposium is “Towards Change”, a phrase that tries to bring together the challenges faced by Plant Protection and that will completely transform the protection of crops in the coming years
Challenges resulting from global warming and climate change, conservation of the environment and biodiversity, demand for sustainability and the emergence of new technologies and tools, such as remote sensing or molecular biology.
